Bonestroo helped develop a Park Master Plan for this unspoiled community park. The 530-acre, mostly undeveloped site had just an access road and small parking area, and was used primarily for hiking, dog walking, and cross-country skiing. The Fox River runs through the park as a primary environmental corridor. The majority of the natural resources within the corridor are woodlands, wetlands, and surface water.
Bonestroo’s Master Plan proposed a number of new features to expand the park’s usefulness while preserving its natural features and beauty. They included adding picnic areas, shelters, nature trails, special event and festival areas, canoe access, cross-country skiing trails, playground areas, and Little League ball fields.
