Splash pads, a relatively new recreational concept, provide aquatic enjoyment without the need for lifeguards. As one of the few firms in the region familiar with splash pad technology, Bonestroo developed and designed six splash pads for Green Bay.
 
Using a comprehensive consensus-building process with City staff, we designed facilities to aesthetically convey each park’s neighborhood identity. Innovative design solutions and effective project management addressed challenges involving ADA accessibility, poor soils, aging utilities, and aggressive design and construction schedules. The most desirable and suitable splash play equipment was researched to achieve a sense of community pride in each park and help enable long-term success.
