With construction of a new retail development, traffic volumes on Woodbury's Hudson Road were expected to exceed the recommended safety capacity for a two-lane undivided roadway. Bonestroo designed significant roadway improvements to enhance safety and address regional stormwater concerns.

The project resulted in a four-lane divided roadway with left and right turn lanes at major intersections and two new signal systems. Improvements to the roadway avoided impacts to existing residential areas, reduced congestion, and increased safety.An eight-foot wide bituminous trail was created and connected to existing trail systems to the west and east of the project.
