The TH 61 entrance and exit ramp intersection with Jamaica Avenue, and the West Point Douglas Road/Jamaica Avenue intersection, were closely spaced and presented traffic operations problems during peak use periods. When the City decided to implement roundabouts at the site, the Bonestroo team seized the opportunity for innovative design.
Our transportation and civil engineers collaborated with our landscape architects and ecologists to develop a safe and functional transportation design as well as an attractive environment for drivers.
