Bonestroo’s solution solved wastewater problems affecting the City of Redwood, the Town of North Redwood, and a local rendering plant. The study evaluated combining waste from all three sites.
The solution included a North Redwood collection system, with raw wastewater pumped to the Redwood Falls treatment plant; a new 1.3 million gallons per day capacity plant to receive effluent from Central Bi-Products and Redwood Falls, and a permitted discharge to the Minnesota River for the new plant. Bonestroo helped the City obtain $2.5 million in grants.
