Bonestroo combined aesthetic sensitivity with water treatment expertise to convert this historic pumping station into a full service 15 mgd water treatment plant. Because the North Pumping Station is on the National Register of Historic Places, Bonestroo creatively placed new pressure filter vessels, backwash tanks, chemical feed and HVAC system within the existing building.
