Bonestroo worked closely with project stakeholders and carefully addressed local ideas and concerns to design an attractive and environmentally enhanced park master plan. Improvements include entry plazas and walkways, performance stage, multi-purpose gathering space, trail network, scenic overlooks and fishing spots, community playground, and picnic areas.

Burying existing overhead power lines throughout the site was essential to improve the aesthetics and safety of the park. Public open houses were conducted to review concepts and site layout. A Design Review Committee, comprised of community stakeholders and City staff, provided additional direction.
