Fargo Lateral - Viking Gas Transmission Pipeline

Bonestroo assisted Viking Gas Transmission with a Section 7(c) application to construct a new 12-inch natural gas pipeline in Minnesota and North Dakota. We provided surveys to identify and prepare construction mitigation plans for sensitive habitats, prepared wetland delineation reports, and provided cultural resource oversight. We also helped secure a USACE Section 404 and Section 10, NPDES Stormwater (SWPPP), Hydrostatic Test Water. 

During pipeline construction, Bonestroo served as the environmental inspector and provided water quality monitoring during hydrostatic testing. Daily reports, photos, and variance documents were posted on a secure website.

Viking also abandoned an old, 9.7-mile section of 8-inch pipeline. Bonestroo documented the proper disposal of hazardous materials after highway crossing sections were removed.
